DAILY EXERCISE – Small Steps

We don’t always have to take dramatic steps to get started on our journey toward healthier living. This week we are challenging our Beginner Community to take a walk. Just strap on some comfortable shoes and walk an extra 20 minutes a day; on purpose. Grabbing a friend makes it easier and more entertaining.

Here are FIVE really good reasons to join us this week. Research has shown that walking, at even moderate speeds, for 20-30 minutes a day:

  1. Improves Your Attitude – Your family & coworkers will thank you

  2. Reduces Stress – Releasing endorphins can reduce stress hormones

  3. Boosts Energy Levels – A free walk is cheaper than a cup of coffee

  4. Reduces Risks of Heart Disease & Diabetes – It’s in the research – talk to your Dr. they ll vouch for this one for your specific needs

  5. Contributes to Weight Loss – Yes, walking can contribute to weight loss just like running…who knew???
